A Dog's Purpose

This movie shares the surprising and soulful story of one dog who finds the purpose of his own life through the lives of the humans he teaches to love and laugh.

A Dog's Purpose is written by Cathryn Michon and Directed by Lasse Hallstrom.

A Dog's Purpose features a twist on the standard talking-dog movie. The story is narrated by a dog and is voiced by Josh Gad, who begins his life as a golden ret dog named Bailey whose best friend is a boy named Ethan whom is Bryce Gheisar. Bailey remains loyal by Ethan's side through his teenage years, even through Ethan's first love, until Bailey dies of old age but he was reincarnated as a girl German shepherd police dog. The dog continues to reincarnation, living many lives as many different breeds and types of dogs. With each new human he or she lives with, the dog learns a little more about his purpose, and until, a few more years later, he returns to a familiar home and a familiar person who is Dennis Quaid.

This movie have a lot of  emotional moments that will be too much for sensitive younger kids, including the reccurring death of a dog, for the most part it looks like a heartfullfilling family dramedy for all dog lovers.
