
After the box office hits of the live action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Samurai-X, Rurouni Kenshin , speculations had plague globally that Hollywood won’t stop on the manga’s trilogy. And indeed that rumors was put to verdict when it was announced previously that Scarlett Johansson will play the main character of ‘Ghost in the Shell’ that is expected to hit the big screen on 2017 under Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks production
But the hype was doubled when Warner Brother’s released its first trailer of a live adaptation of another iconic manga series, the ‘Full Metal Alchemist’, which will feature an all-Japanese cast.
Created by Hiromu Arakawa, the story follows Edward and his Alphonse in their quest of searching the Philosopher’s stone and along their way they will face challenges and unveil secrets not only about the philosopher’s stone but about themselves.
The original series ran from 2001 through 2010, it was adapted into two anime series – “Fullmetal Alchemist” and “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” — a series of light novels, an audio drama, five video games.
