Days after rumors of her “secret wedding” in Australia’s Byron Bay circulated in the internet, Margot Robbie finally confirmed her wedding to longtime sweetheart Tom Ackerley.
The “Suicide Squad” actress posted her posh sparkler to the online world on Tuesday with a caption-less Instagram post. Earlier a few weeks ago, Robbie, 26, shared a sweet portrait of her and Ackerley.
Also earlier this month, Robbie was taken picture at Gold Coast clad in a shirt with words, “Say ‘I Do’ Down Under.” Several entertainment outlets expose that Robbie had tied the knot with the British director over the weekend, with the newlywed’s families and close friends in attendance.
Some reports that the couple pulled off a modest wedding, only attended by 40-50 guests. They did not announce the location of their wedding and guests moved to different locations by bus.
Surprisingly, they had to surrender their mobile phones and cameras during the closed-door ceremony.
Margot and Tom met on the set of World War 2 film “Suite Française“ in 2013, where Ackerley was then an assistant director and Robbie played the role of Celine.
Robbie recently appeared in the films “The Legend of Tarzan” and “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and Harley Quinn in “Suicide Squad”.
