Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 or MMFF is the upcoming event which every Filipino is waiting for. It is celebrated annually every 25th of December.
These are the eight (8) entries of Metro Manila Film Festival 2016
1. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough - Is an independent film Directed by Marlon Rivera, Starring Eugene Domingo, Jericho Rosales and Kean Cipriano.
2. Die Beautiful - Directed by Jun Robles Lana. Starring: Paolo Ballesteros, Joel Torre, Gladys Reyes, Albie Casiño and Iza Calzado.
This is a the story of a transgender woman (Paolo Ballesteros) whose dying wish is to be presented as a different celebrity on each night of her wake.
3. Kabisera - Directed by Arturo San Agustin and Real Florido. Starring: Ricky Davao, Nora Aunor, JC De Vera, Victor Neri and RJ Agustin.
Aunor stars in this family drama as a mother who strives to keep her family together after a tragic incident.
4. Saving Sally - Directed By: Avid Liongoren. Starring Rhian Ramos and Enzo Marcos.
The story tells is about Marty (Marcos) a comic book artist on his attemp to save the woman he loves, Sally (Ramos).
5. Seklusyon - Directed by Erik Matti. Starring Phoebe Walker, Rhed Bustamante, Neil Ryan Sese and Elora Espano.
The story of a young deacon and others are sent to a holy sanctuary to hide from the devil for seven days.
6. Sunday Beauty Queen - Directed by Baby Ruth Villarama. Starring Maylyn Jacobo and Hazel Perdid.
The story is about the Hong Kong-based Filipina Helper as she prepares for Miss Philippines Tourism Hong Kong.
7. Vince and Kath and James - Directed by Ted Boborol. Starring Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia and ROnnie Alonte,
This movie tells the story of two teens whose love sprung from text message.
8. ORO - Directed by Alvin Yapan. Starring Irma Adlawan and Joem Bascon.
The story is about a young couple's fight the effect of the rising tension in a mining community.
