Transformers: The Last Knight a Sci-Fi film will be released on June 23, 2017. Directed by Michael Bay, Written by Ken Nolan, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Casts includes Mark Wahlberg, Jerrod Carmichael, Isabela Moner, Laura Haddock, Josh Duhmel and Anthony Hopkins.
This is the fifth sequel of the live-action Transformers film series and a direct continuation to 2014’ Transformers: Age of Extinction
The plot for Transformers: The Last Knight has been kept as a secret, but production has teased a few details to the movie. The film will somehow connect the Transformers to King Arthur and medieval times, much like how Transformers: Age of Extinction linked with the incident that wiped out the dinosaurs. There will be remembering of Arthur and his Round Table, with speculation that the sword Excalibur is actually an ancient Transformers weapon.
Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be back, as well as most of their crew from Age of Extinction. Megatron will also make his return in the film, no longer going by Galvatron. On the human side of things, Mark Wahlberg returns as inventor Cade Yaeger to help his robot buddies. Stanley Tucci will also reprise his role as Joshua Joyce, otherwise known as The Best Human Character. The Last Knight will also feature the returns of other human characters from the original trilogy; Josh Duhamel is back as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, as well as John Turturro's hit or miss Agent Simmons.
