Why Super Parental Guardians not included on the MMFF?

To give way to other movies personalities, directors and producers, MMFF decided not to include Super Parental Guardians in 2016’s MMFF.

Vice Ganda and Coco Martin have coupled up for a comedy film like you’ve never seen before.

Last Sunday, Star Cinema released the film’s first trailer for “The Super Parental Guardians,” which did not make it in this year’s entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF.

The film also stars two of ABS-CBN’s newest child comedians: Xymon Ezekiel “Onyok” Pineda and McNeal “Awra” Briguela, who play the roles of two gay children with no more mother (Matet De Leon) at a young age. Paco (Coco Martin), is an aggressive gang boy, tries to raise his two nephews with Arci (Vice Ganda), his late sister-in-law’s (Matet de Leon) gay pal.

Furthermore, “The Super Parental Guardians” is an follow-up to “Beauty and the Bestie,” a year ago.

The film, was directed by Joyce Bernal, which was rejected alongside other blockbusters in the MMFF, including Vic Sotto’s “Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers,”,“Our Mighty Yaya” with Ai-Ai de las Alas and “Mano Po 7: Tsinoy,” with Richard Yap. Their previous movies grossed millions of pesos yearly due to its mainstream and humorous plots and stories.

Even though it is not included on the MMFF, “The Super Parental Guardians” is now trending.
